As our daily lives go on smoothly, comfortably, the other side of the Earth is filled with heaps of debris, a thickening moaning atmosphere. Oh gosh. More than 10, 000 people are killed, thousands are missing because of the cyclone in Myanmar and the unknown death toll due to the Sze Chuan earthquake.
As we enjoy our Mac breakfast here in Singapore safely, sweetly, they are digging out bodies, praying fervently that they are breathing well and living. I cannot imagine myself n their shoes, crying for missing or dead loved ones. I don't know if I would have the courage to face it and live on.
How many orphans will there be after these disasters?
How many homes are destroyed, trampled upon by tragedy?
How many people are banished to hell on Earth because Mother Nature had hiccups and flu?
How many lives are disintegrated and blown away by the wind, gone forever?
How many dreams are dashed and flushed out into the sea, drowned for good?
How many hopes are buried deep down under the debris of disaster, never to be dug out?
It's been long since I saw you. What is to become of me if you were to leave me for good? Oh man, Promise me you would not leave me before I do.
